Authoring 3D CAD data for the process chain
Designers create CAD data, which are leveraged in subsequent steps of the process chain in an enterprise of the manufacturing industry. Kisters 3DViewStation helps getting access to 3D CAD data and to author them fast and intuitively.
Users from sales & marketing, design-review, change management, production planning, manufacturing, technical documentation and spare parts need access to 3D CAD data, which have created by CAD designers. Depending on the respective process there are many requirements to be fulfilled by a visualization solution, there are many differences, but also several in common: like short load times, ease of use and low cost.
The Kisters 3DViewStation is a fast 3D CAD viewer for native file formats like i.e Catia V5, Catia V6, NX, CreoElements/Pro-Engineer, SolidWorks, Inventor, SolidEdge, Parasolid and neutral file formats like STEP, 3D-PDF and JT, allowing load times of 1 second for a 5 GB assembly (as 3DVS file). Due to its Office-like user interface the usage is intuitive and to be learned easily. Still, 3DViewStation provides a rich functionality so that sales can quickly extract information needed to write a quotation, marketing can derive high resolution images from any assembly. Project engineers can prepare their review meetings by using views, change requests can be issued via email after using markups, annotations and the copy-to-clipboard function. For communication purposes 3D-PDF and JT files can be exported, technical documentation will like capabilities to explode assemblies, add offset lines & annotations and the export as 2D illustration. Finally it is your choice to work i.e. with your customer on-site, stand alone & file based with our 3DViewStation Desktop version or integrated in a PLM-system, using the Desktop or ActiveX version or finally on your mobile device using our WebViewer version.
